Strictly Beats: Apathy - Honkey Kong (Instrumentals)
"I Dedicate this to You" is on heavy rotation. Both the instrumental and full version. Can never get enough of the Phil Spector "Wall of Sound" collage chopped up over a funky boom bap beat with an alternating snare. I got to say that Apathy is blessed with some good beats and here are all of them from his "Honkey Kong" album.
Enjoy!

Operation: Doomsday (Instrumentals)
I bought that and yep I pretty much have bought everything the guy put out since the first KMD 12" dropped back in the 90's. Hot off the presses. I skipped his last effort, JJ Doom, but anxiously await Madvillainy 2 (or should we say 3 since Madlib remixed the first one already).
Anyhow - here are the beats for the deluxe edition. Most of which were pulled from the actual 12" records released on Fondle Em.
Enjoy like I do

Strictly Beats & Mysterio's Pick: Edan - Emcees Smoke Crack (Remix)
Edan is a "sick cracker". Yep, here is the remix for his "Emcees Smoke Crack". Brilliant stuff - just on some other shit.

Strictly Beats: Company Flow - Eight Steps To Perfection (Instrumental)
Definitely one of my favorite ELP tracks next to "Corners" and "I Phantom". Great gritty stuff from the late 90's.

Strictly Beats: SupremeEx - Angelic Groove
Such a great groove here. Could fit in a video game perfectly or in an episode of Carl Sagan's Cosmos television series. Incredible.

Strictly Beats: MF Doom (for Monsta Island Czars) - Scientific Civilization
For some reason, whenever Doom (King Geedorah) lays obscure samples over his simple looped tracks I get hooked.

Strictly Beats: Dr. Dre (for Eminem) - Role Model (Instrumental)
One of my favorite tracks that Dr. Dre did for Eminem. I could never, and still can never, get enough of it.

Strictly Beats: Definite Vacation -4- Suckas (Verbally Diseased) - Blowin' Up The Spot (Instrumental)
The piano on this track gets me - wherever it is from that shit is fucking tight.

Strictly Beats: DJ Premier (For Gang Starr) - The Question Remains (Instrumental)
I can listen to this instrumental and to the song over and over and over. Once again Primo is extremely effective with his "less is more" technique. Classic.

Strictly Beats: Prince Paul - And The Winner Is?
And The Winner Is?
Prince Paul. Of course. The definitive hip hop producer who remains under rated and thoroughly ignored all these years later. I know he drops some unreleased gems via his Soundcloud account but this was one of the released cuts on a conceptual instrumental album. Solid.

Strictly Beats: RZA for Wutang Clan - Triumph (Instrumental)
RZA delivered the goods on the Wu-Tang Clan's lopsided double album. To me it is still hit or miss for the most part on the very long player but this track here stands out sonically.

Strictly Beats: Mark Mothersbaugh - 75 Year Plan
Not so much a "beat" as just a good piece of music from an excellent film. Mark Mothersbaugh delivers a short and sweet cut to set up the movie.

Strictly Beats: Beastie Boys - Rhymin & Stealin (Instrumental)
Sampling three great rock bands: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Clash they delivered an anthem to kick off their debut album.

Strictly Beats: Constant Deviants - Can't Stop (Instrumental)
An extremely dope beat by Cut from Constant Deviants. A head nodding throwback... wait... this was made in the 90's so it is certified dope.
