Operation: Doomsday (Instrumentals)

I bought that and yep I pretty much have bought everything the guy put out since the first KMD 12" dropped back in the 90's.  Hot off the presses.  I skipped his last effort, JJ Doom, but anxiously await Madvillainy 2 (or should we say 3 since Madlib remixed the first one already).

Anyhow - here are the beats for the deluxe edition.  Most of which were pulled from the actual 12" records released on Fondle Em.

Enjoy like I do

Mysterio's Picks: The Beef Selection

Where would hip hop be without a little beef?  The energy inspired by diss tracks is insurmountable.  A deep cut getting under another emcees skin is especially good when it is fit with a well seasoned beat.  These tracks were selected by Mysterio and served up on a dish that is best served cold.

Mysterio's Picks: Shout Outs

One thing that is missing from hip hop nowadays, besides liner notes, is the Shout Out track. Just like the prerequisite love jam back in the late 80's and early 90's this type of song is sorely missed - at least for me.

The songs I grouped together range from the years 1989 through 2009 - so obviously I am not the only one who likes these kind of "songs".

Sadat X rounds up the end of it with his "I Can't Forget... (Outro)" from his 2009 album. Other artists giving props include Biz Markie, Ice T, Yo Yo, CMW, Guru, Apathy, K-Otix, MF Doom, Beastie Boys, Diamond Shell, etc.

Most of the artists used some really smoothed out tracks to pay tribute to their fellow hip hop comrades. Anyhow - enough babbling - I'd just like to give a shout out to anyone checking this out.

Peace - I'm Audi 5000.
